East Berkshire CCG appoints new Chief Officer
East Berkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is pleased to announce that Dr Andy Brooks has been appointed as the new Clinical Chief Officer.
This took effect as of Tuesday (5/6).
In addition to leading East Berkshire CCG, Andy will remain the Clinical Chief Officer for Surrey Heath CCG where he has been in post since 2012.
Dr Brooks said: “It’s a fantastic time to take on this joint responsibility as we continue to navigate the Integrated Care System landscape. Both CCGs are passionate about delivering the best possible outcomes for people and I’m excited for the journey ahead.”
Dr William Tong, Clinical Chair of East Berkshire CCG and Andrew Lloyd, Lay Chair for Surrey Heath CCG, said “We are pleased that Dr Andy Brooks is the Chief Officer for both Surrey Heath and East Berkshire CCGs.
“Both CCGs have worked closely on the journey of greater collaboration across the health and care system and we are really pleased that Andy will be leading us through the Intergraded Care System environment.
They added: “Andy is passionate about the integration of health and social care and is dedicated to designing services around the needs of individuals. We know he will represent the needs of our populations and our workforce in health and care organisations across Surrey Heath and East Berkshire well.”
Andy replaces John Lisle who has been the Accountable Officer for East Berkshire CCG since May 2016.
Remaining with the NHS, John will be taking up a new role as Integrated Care System Transitional Support Director from August this year.
Dr Tong said: “On behalf of my CCG colleagues, I would like to thank John for his hard work, commitment and drive which has improved the commissioning of services for the people of East Berkshire.
“We wish John all the very best for the future and in his new role.”
