Think you need medical help right now? NHS 111 is now available online
From today, patients can access NHS advice and support online via the new NHS 111 online service.
This new way to access NHS 111 provides you with another convenient way to get the right help or advice when you need it. Whether over the phone or online, NHS 111 will ensure that you get the right care, from the right person, as quickly as possible.
Rachel Wakefield, Associate Director , Urgent and Emergency Care and Specialist Services said: “The launch of NHS 111 online is really exciting, as it offers members of the public the chance to receive tailored, trusted NHS advice, on what to do next if feeling unwell. With the increasing number of patients searching the internet with their symptoms, the launch of an NHS online service is really positive. It offers increased patient choice, as we recognise that for many, NHS 111 online may be the quickest and most convenient way to access trusted medical advice.”
NHS 111 online uses the same clinical algorithms and process as the NHS 111 phone service, and as with the phone service, if needed you, will be connected to a nurse, emergency dentist or GP. You can access NHS 111 online on a smartphone, tablet or computer - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
