Update for Knee Pain Management in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead

Following a review of community based Musculoskeletal (MSK) services across East Berkshire, The knee services provided by WOrth will come to an end in June 2020.

WOrth worked with patient groups to manage knee pain where an assessment and diagnosis in general practice would have been difficult / inconclusive.

From June 2020 patients requiring management with knee pain will continue to be referred by their GP practice through the existing MSK pathways. This step will enable the CCG to support a design and service offer that is equitable, cost effective across our population and integrated with our acute service providers.

EBCCG will continue to work with the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System to plan and offer a service that is integrated with our providers across the ICS along with the support from the Primary Care Networks.
